About
Hi, I’m Rachel and I can’t wait to share my joy of frame loom weaving with you.
Having tried, often with mixed success many different craft activities, I knew that working with different fibres, in particular woolly ones was definitely my favourite. However, I struggled to find the sense of ease and flow I was craving, until I discovered modern tapestry weaving.
It has all the elements I love:
it’s tactile (imagine soft, squidgy yarn)
it’s visual (you see it growing before your eyes)
it’s varied (so many choices eg colours, size, materials)
it’s easy to learn (you can even redo bits you don’t like!)

My teaching philosophy embraces the understanding that everyone learns differently. There's no "right way" to create—only your way. I provide flexible, personalized guidance that adapts to various learning styles, focusing on making your experience enjoyable rather than pursuing technical perfection. My workshops are about discovering your unique creative voice in a pressure-free environment where experimentation is encouraged and celebrated.
